So, here was the one I was after! after some good fish – I took a little break and just watched the water for a while. The water level was very low and the big fish quite vary – but once in a while fish charged at the massive scools of roach.
So I often wait and let it all happen – instead of just casting and casting. after some time just wacthing – a series of attackes and jumping and fleeing roach on the far side – on the edger of the deeper canal – I managed a perfect cast – just on the edge of the area – the hard wind pulling the soft 4play sideways on the drop. Felt the characteristic nick in the braid as the lure was inhaled with vacum from a big perch.
Just knew it was the one, I was after – big heavy headshakes and kiting – shortly after she was mine…. at 50,5cm and heavy build – scales went 2100g.. more than 4 1/2lbs!! 9,5cm soft 4play Pearl silver – 5g ball jigg head. X-mas came early!
